We thought you may be interested in the following message we received from the Maryborough Street Harvest group.

"Hi everyone,

It is nice to have a cooler day today. Looked at my calendar and found
that the March Street Harvest street stall is on Thursday 14 March. This
means that the cooking day is on Monday 11 March. Yes I know it is Labor
Day but the the fruit and vegetables need preserving ready for the
street stall on Thursday. I have heard rumors of peaches and plums, and
basil.

If you have a bit of spare time on Monday, join us in the town hall
kitchen (Neill St) from about 9am till 1pm.

Otherwise see you at the street stall on Thursday. outside the resource
centre from 11am until about 1pm. Bring your fruit and vegetables to
share or swap.

Remember that you can always leave excess fruit and vegetables at the
sharing trolley in the resource centre anytime. There has been an
incredible range of fruit and vegetables left in the past week. Thanks
to everyone who drops off their fruit and vegetables. Most produce
quickly moves on as people take what they need.

Warm regards

Margaret Parsons

We had a great day yesterday in our Simple Living Group. We made Bread and we did it 3 ways! Thank you so much, Janeese for sharing how to make a yummo and healthy Bread Machine loaf with sesame seeds. It was so delicious. 🙂 We also created a very traditional bread that needed a bit of kneading to get our muscles working 🙂 And we made the easiest bread in the world that is perfect for the single person, or busy family.

Not only that, but we made B u t t e r . Yep we made Butter from real cream. You wouldn't believe just how easy this is. Thank you again Janeese for sharing this with the group.

After we made the bread and the butter, I also showed the group how to make Ghee from the new butter.

We had a very busy afternoon in the kitchen and we all loved it.

If you would like to join our Simple Living Group and learn some of these skills, then you are more than welcome. Please call us on 03 5461 4551 to book your spot 🙂
