Our Art from the Heart Group that has been meeting every Thursday for a very very very long time has changed their group day to MONDAY's .
Which means that we now have an amazing Art group for you to come to on Monday's. Isn't that terrific? 🙂 EVERYONE is welcome to join this wonderful group of friendly people.
So if you would like to join the Art from the Heart Group come along on a Monday at 9am. This will start on 5th March. First Bush Playgroup for 2018 is tomorrow! Tomorrow and for all of February we will be meeting at CL Bucknell Reserve from 9:30 to 11:30. It is on the left just after you cross the deep creek bridge heading towards Newstead out of Carisbrook. Dress for the weather and bring a change of clothes. There is a great swimming spot if it's hot. Bring a fruit or veg snack and water. Pram friendly.
Is everyone looking forward to a new year of bush playgroup? I'm hoping we get lots of new families coming along. And can't wait to see how all the kids have grown over the holidays.

It is getting out to more and more people across the area. We had a great turn out at the Volunteer Meeting that was held at the Maryborough Community House yesterday. I would like to thank everyone who came and jumped right in with ideas and plans to help our local community. Yoga Yoga Yoga. We've got some Nectarines, Plums and Grapes here if any one would like them. We also have lots of fresh herbs.
If you are interested in joining in these exciting programs come along on Thursday 8th March at 9.30am.
Meet Jacki and Terry who will be running these programs, and see what the programs are all about.
These are promising to be very popular and so come along and join in and learn how to grow vegetables and herbs for the kitchen and learn how to use tools and make those things you have always wanted to make.

We have been approached by businesses and organisations who would like to advertise in the newsletter. This is a great idea for people with a local small (or large) business who would like an easy, effective and affordable advertising option.
This is also a wonderful way for the Community House to fund raise so that we can continue improving and maintaining the Maryborough Community House.
We will be charging a very reasonable $20 per newsletter, which is created every 2 months. That's just $120 for a whole year! 🙂

It is so exciting to see people putting up their hands to help us produce the best Community House in Australia 🙂
More and more people are getting involved and we are seeing a lot more new residents finding friends and activities that help them feel good about their lives.
I would also like to thank Ruth Bumpstead for all her work that goes far beyond her paid hours and obligations. Thanks Ruth, you are truly an inspiration.
We have Community Kitchen groups, Community Garden groups, Community Art and Craft groups, Community Shed groups, Support Groups, Tai Chi, Simple Living group, Family History and a Playgroup. We also offer venue hire and trailer hire at very reasonable rates. And these are just some of the great programs on offer.
If you want to come along and get involved in all the new projects that we have, then you are more than welcome.

Rather than call it Yoga, we'll call it Chinese Meditation class, as its not the traditional Yoga exercises.
Class will involve stretching, breathing, balancing exercises as well as Chi Kung (Chinese Meditation). Will involve floor work, so bring mat or towel.
